In 2006, two Napa Valley chefs, David Katz and Mimi Martin Katz, hatched a plan to do something altogether new – something the wine industry had needed for some time. They put their years of fine dining experience, extensive European training and the highest level of academic expertise together to form an innovative partnership. Panevino, Food for Wine is a complete resource, providing wine industry clients with expertise in the kitchen, the dining room and the classroom. Our success can be measured by exponential growth – Panevino produced over 200 catered events in 2008.
Our initial focus was on the needs of the wine industry, where great food & wine pairing has a critical strategic purpose. Inevitably, we developed many clients outside the industry – individuals and families who simply share our passion for great entertaining with food and wine. We have also extended our service and product offerings well beyond catering to meet the growing needs of the wine industry.
